Two Manchester’s but One Target – Fred.
Shakhtar Donetsk’s chief executive, Sergei Palkin has revealed that their club’s midfielder, Fred will be moving to Manchester’s this summer. Manchester United and Manchester City both have the equal interest in 25-years-old Brazilian midfielder. Fred has been the part of Ukrainian club, Shakhtar Donetsk from 2013 and since then he has appeared in 93 games while scoring 9 goals.
Fred revealed that in January’s window Manchester City had offered him a deal but he didn’t reciprocate as Shakhtar Donetsk were not willing to sell the midfielder in midst of Champions League fixture.
With Michael Carrick retiring this summer and Marouane Fellaini’s contract is expiring, Jose Mourinho is looking for an experienced playmaker and Fred ticks all the slots of requirement for Jose Mourinho. On another end, Manchester City is looking for a replacement of Fernandinho and Pep Guardiola is having Fred’s name back in his mind. Both the clubs interest are clashing and this would initiate the paying amount war.
Reportedly, Manchester United and Manchester City would be offering £44.5 million to the Brazilian international.
