Lukasz Piszczek to stay at Signal Iduna Park till 2020.

Lukasz Piszczek has signed a new contract with Borussia Dortmund on March 13. According to the new deal, Lukasz Piszczek would be staying at the Signal Iduna Park till 2020. Lukasz Piszczek has been with the Bundesliga club from 2010 after his transition from Hertha Berlin. The Poland international has made 195 appearances for The BVB’s and has 14 goals in his tally.

Lukasz Piszczek is second to sign an extension contract with the club in recent times after Marco Reus. Lukasz Piszczek’s contract was set to expire next year but the club’s board have extended it by 12 months.

Borussia Dortmund’s chief executive, Hans-Joachim Watzke said,”We are delighted to – after Marco Reus – tie another player to our club for long-term who identifies absolutely with Borussia Dortmund.”

Lukasz Piszczek after signing the new contract said,” I am not a native of Dortmund, but this club and these fans have grown so dear to me over the years that I feel like a real Borussia fan and have never felt the desire to want to leave BVB,”

“I would like to end my career in Dortmund and look forward to many, many more emotional moments here.”
