Match No. 78 FC Goa took on Delhi Dynamos at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa on Wednesday.
FC Goa were held onto a draw 1-1 against Delhi Dynamos due to late equalizer by Kalu Uche at 81st minute to rescue Delhi from thumping loss and also nullified the Hugo Boumous opener for home team in 53rd minute.
The draw gave home team 1 point and shattered their hopes to make a cut to playoffs. Now FC Goa remains on the sixth place with 21 points from 15 matches with 3 games in hand to book a place. Whereas Delhi Dynamos also ascended in points table and moved 1 point clear to the now bottom placed NEUFC.
The game saw the major action in second minute itself when an through pass from Kalu Uche was well connected by former Goa player Manuel Arana whose shot was saved by stopper Naveen Kumar. FC Goa missed the service of the Spaniard Lanzarote who was on suspension. Goa didn’t received the passes well and they cannot make way into box to create any chances. At 21st minute Brandon Fernandes received an pass from Ferran Corominas but he shot wide with scoreline still at 0-0.
Their best chance came up in 26th minute when Hugo Boumous laid an perfect pass to Mandar Rao but his shot went straight went to keeper’s hand. The game after half hour mark didn’t see any serious action.

Miguel Portugal brought in Jeroen Lombe Lumu and keeper Arnab Das. Substitution worked for them as they came close to equalising in 79th minute when an pass from Kalu Uche to Lallianzuala Chhangte was shot wide from inside the box.
Two minutes later when roles swapped Chhangte passed to Kalu Uche who made no mistake and made an equalising goal for the visitors in the 81st minute with nine minutes remaining in the regulation time. Goa came close to score when Mandar Rao Desai had an chance but he shot wide and home team had to settle for an draw.
