Uche & Alfaro scores brace, Settles for an draw.
Delhi Dynamos and FC Pune City fought an interesting and hard battle to end it in an draw with scoreline 2-2 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Hero Indian Super League(ISL) on Friday. Kalu Uche(10’, 34’) and Emiliano Alfaro(13’, 86’) both scored an brace for their teams.
Delhi Dynamos were high on confidence after their last two outings. Delhi Dynamos pressured FC Pune and made them work hard for the ball. At 70th minute, Nandhakumar almost gave a cold down the spine to Pune City when his shot got deflected and was inches away from post.
Lions were in commanding position as they were leading. But in 86th minute, Mohammed Sajid clumsily brought down Alfaro inside the box and the Referee gave the penalty to Pune City.
Alfaro restored the energy in his team when he converted the penalty in 86th minute to rescue them from losing the match.
Both team were playing their last league game. Delhi was knocked out of competition early on. Pune was playing for their winning momentumas they have qualified earlier. Delhi ended their season with 19 points from 18 games. They won two and drew one in their last three games to keep their head up and had something to cheer for.
